IFRAME SOLUTION

As you know, Charter Index has for some time been enabling our charter broker customers to provide their own website users with access (via an invisible link on the broker's website) to the entire Charter Index database of worldwide luxury crewed charter yachts - along with a search engine with which to manipulate it. We've always called the system our 'Retail Yacht Search' (RYS) system and the majority of websites have been using it via something called an 'Iframe', which is simply an invisible window through which people already on your website may seamlessly look at and manipulate information in Charter Index's database. It also allows users to make inquiries which are routed directly to you.

This is a great and very cost effective solution to the problem of providing charter yacht information to your website visitors, as use of the RYS is included in the $495 per year Charter Index online broker's subscription.

XML FEED SOLUTION

Unfortunately, the IFrame solution referred to above does not enable your site to 'earn any credits' with Google or any of the other search engines as the data comes from us via you, rather than directly from you. This means that it will be hard for your site to become more and more successful in terms of the speed and frequency with which search engines offer it to those people looking for charter yachts. It doesn't make it any easier for the search engines to 'recognise' your site as an extremely useful source of charter yacht data for their searching customers. The Charter Index XML Feed system solves that problem.

Another issue is that when when the new XML Feed system is being integrated it quite often reveals serious Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) issues which need to be addressed in order to make the XML Feed work as effectively as it possibly can.
