- From a family of keen sailors, been around boats since childhood, Offshore racing academy in Guadeloupe where he gained his Master 200 GT
- National Diploma of Aquatic Rescue and Security as well as First aid diploma level 1 and 2 delivered by the French Red Cross.

Job description:
Xavier has the expertise required to stand in for Captain in his
absence, acting as second in command. He assists the Captain during
navigation and participates in all on-deck operations, respecting guest’s
activities. He has extensive knowledge of sailing yachts maintenance and is
responsible for the running of deck equipment and machinery.

Education, Licenses & Certificates:
- 2016 – French Merchant Marine Master & Chief Engineer degree,
complying with STCW sections A-III/1 & A-III/2.
- 2012 – French Merchant Marine Third Year Degree
- Deck & Engine OOW with no limitation (STCW II/1 & III/1)
- Chief Officer 3000 UMS
- Additional Certificates: BST, PSCRB, PFRB, Medical Care Level III, AFF, SSO,
ECDIS, RADAR & ARPA, GMDSS, GOC, ERM/BRM, High Voltage Basic –
All Certificates Up to Date.

Sail and work experience:
- 5 years’ experience as a Marin Steward on board various yachts in both
Caribbean and Mediterranean waters.
- In 2015, Assistant and Technical Manager for Private Yacht Charters in
Saint Martin.
- Technical Manager and Trainer in 2016 for the Transat AG2R la Mondiale.
- 2017: Matelot de Quart for Brittany Ferries in Roscoff, France.
