Previous yachts: Cape Arrow (SW 100), Windfall (SW 94), Dharma (SW 95), Atalanta (Farr 70), Maria Alba (Reichel Pugh 98’), Mirò (Swan 651), Stealth (Frers 92), Grampus (C&C 61) Sail and work experience: from a young age he has been keen on sailing, spending over the last twenty years working on various sailing yachts. He has a long experience in passage planning, course monitoring, and rig maintenance. From the very beginning, he has been a true team player, experienced and fond of working closely with owners, crew and authorities. He gets on well with people and he is able to handle stressful situations with a positive sense of humor. He speaks English and French. Over the last 25 years, he has clocked more than 100.000 nautical miles (i.e. 10 Atlantic crossings). Cruised Waters: Mediterranean Sea, Caribbean Sea, Atlantic Ocean, Baltic Sea, USA East Coast. Job description: he is responsible for navigation, safety, the overall running and financial management of the vessel, crew and guests. He ensures the safe and efficient operation of the yacht at all times, including compliance with all safety procedures and regulations. He takes care of adhering to flag regulations, port state and local laws and regulations, and manages the crew to ensure adherence to, and a full understanding of, the vessel’s policies. He provides daily leadership for the crew and encourages teamwork, individual growth and personal attention by delegating duties and supervising all crew tasks. Licenses & Certificates: RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Ocean, Commercial Endorsement – GMDSS GOC (General Operator’s Certificate) – MCA AEC (Approved Engine Course) – STCW Training – STCW Proficiency in First Aid.
