Balladeer was shown at the 2015 Southampton boat show, she is hull no.12 of the Jeanneau 64.

Every Jeanneau Yacht is designed to be a sailor’s boat, and the Jeanneau 64 is no exception. This flagship is secure, fast, and enjoyable to sail. Philippe Briand has delivered a modern hull that incorporates a hard chine for increased speed, stability, and interior volume.

She takes 6 guests in 3 cabins, the interior was custom made for this owner with a huge forward owners suite with en-suite, that has a large double bed to starboard and a second double bed to port making it a perfect family cabin, in the rear there is 1 double cabin and 1 twin cabin both with en-suites. She has air-conditioning throughout, water-maker and generator.

She has been fitted with in boom furling, giving you a fully battened mainsail for more sailing pleasure. In the cockpit, she has a spray hood and bimini, 2 cockpit tables & 2 L shape sofas that can convert into sun beds. Balladeer's 2 crew, captain & chef/hostess, will make sure you are well looked after; keeping the boat in immaculate condition, providing delicious meals and showing you the most beautiful anchorages, crystal clear waters, historic towns or secluded bays. The crew cabin is in the bow and accessed from the foredeck.

All interior photos on this page are of Balladeer and the exterior photos are from the Jeanneau 64 catalogue, these will be updated to photos of Balladeer over the summer.

Captain

Dean started work on the River Thames from the age of 16. It is big family tradition to work there and he followed in his Grandfather’s footsteps. He studied for 6 years in his apprenticeship to become a Waterman & Lighterman of the River Thames. In doing this he was eligible to Row Doggetts Coat and Badge which is one of the longest skulled races in the World. From there he moved on to commercial and private charter vessels and cruised the Mediterranean, Caribbean and part of the US East Coast.

Cook/First mate

Becky grew up on the Isle of Wight and learnt to sail in Lasers from the Island Sailing Club in Cowes. She was a Dental Nurse for many years before moving to the Marine Industry 5 years ago. She has been to the Ashburton Cooking & Chef School, the Four Seasons Cooking Academy and a 2 day challenge course in local wild food. As well as cooking on the yachts the last 4 years she also used to cater at the owners house for up to 12 guests. Becky showcases her cooking using fresh local ingredients. Dean & Becky are a fun and motivated couple, they have worked on yachts together for the last 5 years, with a highly diverse itinerary from organising charters to sailing across the Atlantic Ocean.     They join Balladeer in Spring 2018 excited for their new position and busy itinerary seeing them start in the South of France, down the Italian coast to Sicily, Malta and onto Croatia.
