The luxury sailing yacht YQUEM, previously named ELTON, was built by Custom and delivered to her owner in 1992, she later underwent a refit in 2025.

The exterior of YQUEM is designed by Tripp Design.

The 104ft / 31.7m YQUEM has been constructed with a grp hull and is powered by 1x Lugger engine with a cruising speed of 10 knots.

Charter guest accommodation

YQUEM has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 8 charter guests in 4 suites.

The guest cabins comprise a primary suite with a king size bed and en-suite bathroom facilities, a VIP suite with a double bed and en-suite bathroom facilities and 2 cabins with a double bed and en-suite bathroom facilities.

Margherita is an experienced sailing yacht Captain with over 15 years of professional navigation and more than 35,000 nautical miles sailed across the Mediterranean, Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans. She has captained and managed a wide range of sailing yachts including DHARMA, FIFTY FIFTY, CEFEA, ELENA, ULYSSES, and NAMASTÉ I, and has also served as Deputy Captain, Engineer, and Refit Project Manager on ASHLEYROSE 110. Her experience includes ocean crossings, yacht deliveries, owner cruises, charter operations, and offshore regattas.
Job Description
The captain is responsible for the overall operation, safety, and management of the vessel, crew, and guests. This includes navigation, passage planning, compliance with maritime regulations, and the safe operation of the yacht at all times. The captain oversees maintenance, manages budgets and logistics, coordinates refits and yard periods, and ensures all onboard systems and safety procedures meet regulatory standards while maintaining a high level of service for owners and guests.

Paola Lacchio

Sail and Work Experience
Paola is an experienced yacht chef with several years working onboard both sailing and motor yachts. She has served as Chef on EGIWAVE, LADY G, SUR, and MIOTU III, and as Stew/Cook on BERENICE CUBE, SENSEI, and OCEAN HORSE, preparing a wide variety of meals including special dietary menus while managing provisioning, food storage, and galley operations. Alongside her galley responsibilities, she regularly assists with deck manoeuvres, watchkeeping during passages, and has participated in offshore regattas and an Atlantic crossing.

Job Description
The Chef is responsible for planning and preparing all meals onboard for guests and crew, ensuring high culinary standards while accommodating dietary requirements and preferences. Duties include provisioning, inventory management, food storage and hygiene compliance, menu planning, and maintaining the galley to the highest standards of cleanliness and organization. The Chef also coordinates meal service with the interior team and ensures efficient galley operations during both cruising and passage making.

Jamie Hargreaves

Sail and Work Experience
Jamie has experience on sailing yachts in delivery, mate, and deckhand roles. She worked as Mate/Cook on the 26m SY JACQUELINA in the Mediterranean, managing watchkeeping, navigation, provisioning, cooking, and general deck duties during a 4,000+ mile sailing program. She has also completed delivery passages on AGAVE and TEMPUS FUGIT, performing watchkeeping, maintenance, and sailing operations, and has additional experience as deckhand/cook on a Leopard 50 catamaran and as racing crew on keelboats up to 70ft.

The Stewardess is responsible for maintaining high interior standards onboard, including housekeeping, laundry, guest service, and table presentation. She ensures guest areas are clean, organized, and welcoming while assisting with meal service and provisioning. The role also includes supporting the crew where required, maintaining inventories, and ensuring smooth day-to-day interior operations while providing excellent hospitality to owners and guests.

Juan Ignacio Biava

Sail and Work Experience
Juan Ignacio is an electromechanical engineer with experience onboard large sailing yachts in both engineering and deck roles. He most recently served as Sole Engineer on the 172ft DOÑA FRANCISCA and previously as Deckhand/2nd Engineer on the 56m SY PANTHALASSA. Additional experience includes operating as Chase Boat Skipper on the 131ft ARISTARCHOS, temporary crew on ARTEMIS BLEU, and race crew on MOAT, where he competed in the Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta.

Job Description
The First Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and reliability of all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and technical systems onboard. This includes propulsion systems, generators, HVAC, water systems, and auxiliary machinery. He ensures all engineering operations are carried out safely and efficiently, maintains maintenance schedules, manages spare parts and technical inventories, and assists with troubleshooting and repairs.
