Adam Cunerd

Captain

Captain Adam Cunerd started boating at the age of 8 with his family and neighbors on the Severn River just outside of Annapolis, MD. Water-skiing, fishing and cruising were his favorite activities through the years, which expanded his knowledge of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. In his later teenage years and twenties, working at various marinas in the area, he became more involved in the handling, maintenance and mechanics of boating. He attended Chapman’s School of Seamanship in Stuart, Florida, which helped him make his decision to work on private yachts as a professional crew member. Attaining his master’s license in 1993, he has traveled and gained cruising experience in the Great Lakes, St. Lawrence Seaway, East Coast north to Nova Scotia, Canadian Maritimes, New England, the East Coast of Florida, Mississippi River, Ten Tom Waterway and its tributaries, the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean. With this experience he has gained the knowledge and skills to be a confident Master.

Though born in Staten Island, NY; Angelo was raised in Memphis. He has always felt drawn by some magnetic force to the ocean; the sound, the smell, the feel. After high school and college, he worked in real estate, however that allure of boats never went away. In 2009 he changed course and moved to Honduras where he began his dive career. He taught SCUBA in Honduras, Panama, Israel, and Thailand. Making bubbles is Angelo’s passion and he loves to take photographs of his adventures. He believes instinctively that being near the ocean makes us happier, healthier, reduces stress and brings us peace. Yachting has combined his passions and he has quickly worked his way up to mate. He is currently pursuing his captain’s license.

Born and raised in South Florida, Brittany spent four years working with kids at a preschool in addition to attending college. Looking for a bit of adventure at 22, she followed the advice of a captain friend and joined the yachting industry. Brittany enjoys being on the water. Working as a stewardess in the past two years, she has visited Alaska and the Bahamas. She is looking forward to exploring the Bahamas and sharing her experiences with the guests. Her other interests include hiking, playing tennis and soft ball.

Alec was raised in Puerto Rico and has a profound love for the water. He swam competitively at an early age and later turned pro. He has competed against the world’s greats such as Michael Phelps and Cesar Cielo. In addition, he was a lifeguard and swim coach for 5 years. On a trip to Puerto Rico he met a fellow deckhand who told him about the limitless adventures and opportunities in yachting. He moved to Florida and has been working as a deckhand since. Amicable and easy going, Alec looks forward to meeting guests and making their stay enjoyable.
