Andrei is a knowledgeable, charismatic, friendly yacht skipper from Toronto, Canada. He holds IYT 200 Tons Yacht-Master Offshore license, as well as Biology Engineering and Marine Engineering Degrees. His technical skills and sailing experience contribute to his expert seamanship and a deep understanding of the mechanical, electrical and digital systems aboard Amazing.

Andrei was born in Arkhangelsk, a Northern Coastal city that is considered the capital of the Russian Navy. From a very young age Andrei has been surrounded by all things nautical, which allowed him to develop interest and passion towards the sea, paving the way toward a masterful career. He has worked as racing sailboat builder, a boats broker, manager and delivery skipper. He has an in-depth understanding of sailboats from the shipyard side of the business to overseeing major retrofit and rebuild contracts. Due to his high level of expertise and degree of certification, he is on call for a number of power sailing yachts.

He has been working professionally in the yacht industry for over 12 years, and gained unparalleled experience in all aspects of sailing. In addition, he has raced worldwide, taking podiums and claiming victories in a number of sailing events such as Lake Ontario 300, LOSHR series, and Atlantic Rally for Cruisers among others. Andrei loves to kite board, wake board and scuba dive. He holds a PADI Rescue Diver and PADI Dive Master certifications and has more than 20 years of scuba diving experience.

Andrei has completed over 40,000 miles as a Captain including several Atlantic Ocean crossings and numerous Caribbean charters.
