Gary Mckinnon

Captain

Gary hails from Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, where, as a young lad, his love for the ocean was quite evident as his parents would often have to head down to the nearby beach after dark, to haul him out the waves where he would be body-surfing or wave-ski riding!

Gary has traveled extensively and has dived and sailed most of the Indian Ocean Islands after being introduced to the yachting world by his brother-in-law, whilst sailing and chartering his catamaran in Madagascar back in the late nineties. This was the catalyst for him going on to be a RYA Yacht master Offshore, and now a Dive master. After crewing on a delivery of a 50ft Voyage catamaran from Cape Town to Tortola, Gary decided this was where he wanted to be!

Coming from a strong sporting and catering background, he is always keen to be “out there” doing something active, be it in the galley or on the water, under it, or on land.

Leanne Ho-Chung

Chef & Mate

Leanne has been in the customer service industry for two decades. Her experience is extensive and varied ranging from Chef/First mate on private catamarans and term charter yachts to serving in fine-dining restaurants and bars, luxury hotels and B&B accommodation.
Having previously held positions as a chef, deckhand, restaurant supervisor, fine dining waitress/ bartender, personal chef and dive master in various countries around the world, all of these vocations have required exceptional people skills and social interaction, both of which come naturally to me. Strong work ethics and professionalism is of utmost importance.
Leanne is always willing to cater to any palate. Her passion for cooking allows her to experiment with many different flavors whether it be Asian or Mediterranean, North American or Caribbean. Leanne's main focus is keeping food as healthy as possible using as many fresh ingredients available. Of course dietary requirements are always taken into consideration.
