TABOO Crew Profile
TABOO is a family operated yacht. Your crew, Miranda & David Hartstone are joined by a stewardess and first mate for seamless service. With Captain David’s multiple Atlantic crossings and sailing trips all around New Zealand, England and the Channel Islands, not to mention 20 years sailing in the Caribbean, you are assured total safety. Miranda has a few tricks up her sleeve too! With years of experience designing menus and buying food for large Vancouver Hotels, she has the expertise to cover every detail to design a menu just to your taste. Most recently, Miranda placed first in the Culinary Excellence Competition at the Grenada Boat Show July 2016.
Both Miranda & David are professional photographers and enjoy helping you collect memories of your sailing vacation with them as photos and video and send you home with a DVD copy.
Stewardess, Harriet Stell is 22 from New Zealand, she has amassed over 20,000 sea miles, and brings a huge supply of sailing talent to her position on board, She is a certified scuba diver, along with being hugely charming and a wonderful server for us on TABOO.
Once on board, you’ll quickly discover the easy, breezy Caribbean lifestyle they love. Be as active as you want to be with skiing, tubing, scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming, and hiking. While you sail past different islands, the crew will point out local sites of interest. The yachting industry has no global listing service to which all charter yachts must subscribe to, making it impossible to ascertain a truly up-to-date view of the market. Charter Index is a news and information service and not always informed when yachts leave the charter market, or when they are recently sold and renamed, it is not always clear if they are still for charter. Whilst we endeavour to maintain accurate information, the existence of a listing on Charter Index should in no way supersede official documentation supplied by the representatives of a yacht.
