Over the past 20 years, Scott has built an extensive career aboard both private and charter yachts ranging from 80 to 190 feet. Neil Roets

Born and raised in a small coastal town in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, Neil grew up catching waves and bodyboarding before and after school. He later earned his Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering and spent ten years in the automotive world as a project and manufacturing manager. Neil traded in his life in the automotive industry and plunged into yachting 7 years ago. In his free time, Neil is usually found wing foiling, spearfishing, scuba diving, or scaling seaside rocks to collect mussels and oysters for his famous seafood pots. When he’s not in the water, he’s overlanding to remote spots in search of views, quiet, and adventure with his wife. On trip, Neil is all about fun - whether it’s taking guests on thrill-filled excursions or showing them the best of the water toys.

Fun Fact: Affectionately nicknamed “Neil the Eel,” he earned the title after countless successful missions retrieving guests’ sunglasses following their unexpected dips into the water.

Giovanna Pirela

Originally from Fort Lauderdale, Giovanna brings more than a decade of culinary experience to life on board, blending her love for the ocean with a passion for creating memorable dining experiences. With a style rooted in fresh, locally sourced ingredients and inspired by the destinations around her, her cooking reflects a thoughtful farm-to-table philosophy that feels elevated yet approachable. French fusion, Italian favorites, comforting classics, and vibrant seasonal dishes all find their place in her repertoire — each menu carefully tailored to the guests she welcomes on board.

Having worked across a range of yachts throughout her career, Giovanna discovered a special appreciation for intimate charter experiences, where creativity, connection, and personalized service come together around the table. She believes food is a language of love and that every meal should tell a story of place, season, and shared moments. When she’s not in the galley, Giovanna enjoys embracing the quieter side of life ashore while continuing to explore new flavors, gather inspiration, and bring fresh ideas back to every charter experience aboard SKYFALL.

Cindy Roets

Seven years ago, growing up in an inland city in South Africa, she had never even heard of yachting or imagined the adventures waiting for her at sea. Today, she’s a Best Chief Stew Of The Year 2026 nominee, who can take the tiniest hint of a guest idea and turn it into a show stopping experience. Cindy is devoted to delivering exceptional, highly personalized hospitality for every guest. As the unofficial “boat mom,” she keeps her crew motivated, supported, and perfectly in sync, blending her nurturing instincts with thoughtful, kind leadership - and just the right dash of humor. Off duty, she’s all about adventure: overlanding to far-flung destinations, playing padel, whipping up culinary experiments in the galley, discovering new restaurants, sampling wines, and fostering animals - penguins and seals included.

Fun fact: Cindy’s secret superpower is solving nightmare-level Sudoku puzzles without breaking a sweat.

Before trading desks for decks, she worked in the corporate world handling logistics, exports, marketing, and website management. From childhood boat trips during the sardine run with her dad to coaching swimmers around the world, life has always revolved around water. Before swapping land for sea, she spent three years managing a lively bar and restaurant - mastering the art of great service, sharp attention to detail, and keeping guests smiling. Tarryn joined us on SKYFALL last year and quickly realized she just could not get enough of yachting. We are so excited to have her officially join the team permanently. Off duty, you will find her swimming, exploring, or chasing the nearest ocean view.

Fun fact: Tarryn is basically a walking Encyclopedia with a treasure chest of random facts. Ask her how her day is going… and you’ll walk away knowing frogs blink to swallow.

Nicolás Schadae

Nicolas, known to most as Nico, grew up on the island of Sint Maarten, where life at sea came naturally. Boating and fishing from a young age gave him a deep love for the ocean and a passion for being outdoors - so it’s no surprise he fell in love with yachting. Nico discovered yachting about a year and a half ago, and since then he’s been hooked. The lifestyle, travel, and constant learning keep him energized. He’s focused on building experience, staying hands-on, and making the most of every opportunity the ocean throws his way - sometimes quite literally. Music has always been part of his life, too. Together with his brother, he writes and produces as The Shady Brothers - a project that’s both creative and personal.

Fun Fact: Nico is a licensed pilot. When he’s not on deck, he’s out flying planes - because sometimes the best view of the ocean is from above.

Previous Yachts: SANTOSHA (57m), SHAKE N BAKE (50m)

Justin Pereira

Justin’s story is one of passion, perseverance, and a perfectly timed escape from the world of air conditioning and refrigeration to life on the high seas. Born in Ballito, a coastal town in Durban, South Africa, he grew up with fishing as a way of life and the ocean practically in his backyard. After eight years keeping things cool on land, he decided it was time to trade thermostats for turquoise waters. He kicked off his yachting career aboard M/Y SKYFALL, quickly finding his rhythm. Whether he’s driving tenders, operating jet skis, or backing up the crew, Justin brings a calm, capable, and always-ready attitude to everything he does. Off duty, you’ll find him fishing, hunting, or perfecting his swing on the golf course - basically anywhere he can be outside, active, and having fun. Since stepping into yachting, he hasn’t looked back. His story is proof that chasing what makes you feel alive often leads to the best adventures.

Fun Fact: Justin is a future billionaire - don’t ask when, but feel free to place your bets!

Jethro Biggs

Jet is a salt-water-powered South African whose natural habitat is anywhere within ten meters of the ocean. Practically raised on the beach, he grew up surfing, diving, snorkeling, and sailing - anything that meant being sun-kissed and water-logged. It’s no surprise he ended up in yachting; for Jethro, helping guests fall in love with the ocean isn’t just a job, it’s a calling. When he’s off duty, you’ll find him reading a good book, watching a movie, or heading into the wild for a camping trip. Known for his easygoing warmth and can-do attitude, he thrives in the beautiful chaos of crew life, always ready with a smile, a helping hand, or a story about a rogue wave.

Fun Fact: He won a hometown surfing competition at age eight, proving early on he was destined for a life on (and in) the water.

Lauren grew up in New Zealand, splitting her time between studying marine science and ecology, hiking through native bush, and occasionally wrangling eels in rivers and wetlands—just your typical Kiwi childhood. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree and worked for the Regional Council as an Environmental Monitoring Officer, balancing spreadsheets with hands-on adventures. A love of travel and curiosity about new cultures eventually lured her to life at sea. Over the past two years, Lauren has served both as a deckhand and deck-stew on yachts ranging from 27m to 63m in the Mediterranean. These experiences have made her versatile, resourceful, and the kind of team player everyone wants on onboard. She loves being part of the SKYFALL crew, enjoying ocean views every day and occasionally spotting an eel for old times’ sake.
