ARAGON, previously named WINDFALL, was built by Southern Wind and delivered to her owner in 2013, she later underwent a refit in 2019.

ARAGON can accommodate 8 guests in 4 cabins consisting of a primary suite with a queen size bed and en-suite bathroom facilities, 2 cabins with a twin bed and en-suite bathroom facilities and a cabin with 2 single beds and en-suite bathroom facilities.

Amenities on board include Air Conditioning, Light fishing gear, Sun pads, Swim platform, TV all cabins and Wi-Fi.

Sail and Work Experience:
Born in Mallorca, Tom has always been surrounded by the sea. Having started dinghy sailing at a very young age, Tom was inspired to explore a career in sailing. Beginning as a deckhand on a 43m ketch rigged sailing yacht, he quickly climbed up the ranks to become lead deckhand on a 55m schooner just 12 months afterwards. He then worked as a first mate on several sailing yachts before becoming a Captain on a Swan 68 last season. He joins Aragon excited to further develop his leadership skills in the jam-packed summer season ahead.

Job Description:
Tom is responsible for navigation, safety, the overall running and financial management of the vessel, crew and guests. He ensures the safe and efficient operation of the yacht at all times, including compliance with all safety procedures and regulations. He takes care of adhering to flag regulations, port state and local laws and regulations, and manages the crew to ensure adherence to, and a full understanding of, the vessel’s policies. He provides daily leadership for the crew and encourages teamwork, individual growth and personal attention by delegating duties and supervising all crew tasks.

Victor Ferrer

Sail and Work Experience:
A polite and friendly member of the team, Victor learns quickly on the job and follows directions exceptionally well. Having worked on land for the previous two years in sail making, fitting, and other logistics, Victor is eager to get back on the water as part of the Aragon crew. His previous experience includes roles as deckhands on several boats, as well as working as a diving instructor and technician on deck. Victor is extremely passionate about exploring new cultures and is looking forward to the summer season ahead.

Job Description:
Victor has the expertise required to stand in for Captain in his absence, acting as second in command. He assists the captain during navigation and participates in all on-deck operations, respecting guest’s activities. He has extensive knowledge of sailing yachts maintenance and is responsible for the running of deck equipment and machinery.

Lauren Smail

Sail and Work Experience
After years of extensive work experience in HR, leadership, and hospitality brand Development within London, Lauren aims to become a permanent deckhand on private and charter sailing yachts. Working her way up through customer service positions throughout, and beyond, her education, Lauren provides a positive and supportive element to the crew. With a childhood spent surrounded by the Devon coastline of England, Lauren has grown up around boats and is looking forward to exploring this passion further through her exciting new role as Stewardess on Aragon.

Job Description:
Lauren is responsible for organization, management and cleanliness of all interiors. She maintains an accurate inventory of all service items and supplies. She ensures cleaning and preparation of the vessel to the highest standards prior to any and all guest trips. In charge of vessel provisioning for both guests and crew, and all aspects of daily life. When guests are onboard, she ensures they are properly cared for and that all their requirements are met. She offers a particular attention to details and a polite and entertaining spirit. Thanks to her sailing capability, she can assist on deck during navigation.

Fiona Clegg

Sail and Work Experience:
Starting as a seasonal chef on a catamaran in 2017, Fiona has taken on several roles as a chef since, gaining experience of a larger number of clients and different styles of gastronomy. With a strong passion for creating beautiful, healthy, locally-sourced dishes, Fiona aims to design memorable dishes which include all her clients, despite any dietary requirements. In the kitchen, Fiona loves to experiment with different ingredients and do thorough research of upcoming food trends to make her dishes as engaging as possible. Her creativity is sure to delight the taste buds and excite the eyes!

Job Description:
In charge of the galley and is responsible for all guests and crew meals, assuring a rich variety of food. Estimates food needs, reviews inventory assuring adequate supplies are available, sticking to budget and guests’ expectations. Carries out food service activities in order to have meals prepared at scheduled times and makes sure she complies with health regulations. Thanks to her creativity, she develops new recipes and ways of serving food in order to satisfy different guests’ wishes.
