MAR AZUL Private Yacht

I have been professionally employed as chef for the past 20 + years, predominantly aboard yachts, also a sa chef/partner at a restaurant in Harbour Island, Bahamas, and as a private chef in numerous estates. I love cooking and am very proud of my reputation as a chef. I have never encountered a kitchen crisis that couldn’t be conquered with skills, stamina, humor, and a good sharp knife. I have been so fortunate to have traveled so much of the world in my chosen profession. The cuisines and cultures I’ve experienced transformed me into the crazy foodie I’ve become. I have a very adventurous palate, but have no problem cooking for people with sensitivities or more classical tastes. My experience with the occasionally adverse, but never dull conditions of working on yachts, and ashore in the Bahamas, has given me the ability to cook in a rolling galley in rough seas, or a candle lit kitchen in a hurricane. I look forward to meeting and cooking for more fun, food loving people aboard the M/Y Mar Azul.

Joel King was born and raised in Clinton Ohio, has worked in the yacht business for 18 years mostly doing repair work, commissioning of new boats, and refit projects. Relocating to south Florida 2 years ago to look to make yachting my career, went to work on Hargrave custom yachts. Love to travel, listen to live music and of course the water

Farrah has worked on yachts since 2009 and it has taken her from the local waters of Florida, to the New England area, the Caribbean, the Bahamas and the Mediterranean. Originally from Boston, Farrah has that welcoming personality and will ensure your holiday is one to remember. Farrah is an active person, she has started to compete in long distance triathlons,and still trying to make friends with the bike. She is a certified scuba diver,and enjoys being on the water. Farrah enjoys being a chief stewardess because she is able to combine her love for being on the water, and helping people. She strives to ensure that your holiday is a smooth one, but one that you will remember. Farrah is also an avid reader, and if there is that book you are looking for to curl up to, she has some great recommendations. With extensive bar tending experience, she can also recommend a good cocktail to have while curled up with a good book.
