Sail and Work Experience:
Malgorzata has always loved travelling and the sea. With a background on gastronomy, she spent many years in restaurant kitchens having the best possible training for the tasks this job entails. She has worked onboard in the same private sailing yacht for many years and now very happy with her position in S/Y Wally One as a Charter Yacht.

Role:
She is in charge of the galley and is responsible of guests and crew meals, assuring a rich variety of food. She estimates food needs, reviews inventory assuring adequate supplies are available, sticking to budget and guests’ expectations. She carries out food service activities in order to have meals prepared at scheduled times and makes sure to comply with health regulations, in addition she is responsible for organization, management and cleanliness of all interiors. She ensures cleaning and preparation of the vessel to the highest standards prior to any and all guest trips. In charge of yacht provisioning for both guests and crew, and all aspects of daily life. When guests are onboard, she ensures they are properly cared for and that all their requirements are met.

- STCW Training (Advanced Fire Fighting Training and Safety and Survival Training)

- RYA Day Skipper
- RYA Power Boat Level 2 (Commercially Endorsed)

Sail and Work Experience:
As a consequence of growing up in the Beautiful Island of Madeira, Joao Abreu has always been involved in many outdoor sports mainly windsurfing. Since he started windsurfing his passion for the sea as always been growing and now he decided to get his qualifications and transfer his experience into the big boats and pursue a career at sea.
He has always been involved in many sports such as gymnastics, cycling, crossfit, what makes him a very active person always ready to help. After spending almost 6 months in the United Kingdom studying to get his Yachtmaster Offshore he sailed for about two months in boats ranging from 40 ft to 65 ft, in very strong tidal waters, and challenging weather. Joao is a new crew member and very motivated to join a Team that has been working together for many years and making part of the yacht since the Begin of the 2018 season.

Job Description:
Joao has the expertise required to stand in for Captain in his absence, acting as second in command. He assists the Captain during navigation and participates in all on-deck operations, respecting guest’s activities. He has extensive knowledge of sailing yachts maintenance and is responsible for the running of deck equipment and machinery.
