DOUBLE DOWN currently registered in the Cayman Islands is actively available for charter.

The luxury motor yacht DOUBLE DOWN, previously named LADY LAU, was built by Codecasa and delivered to her owner in 2010, she later underwent a refit in 2019.

The exterior of DOUBLE DOWN is designed by Codecasa.

The 213ft / 65m DOUBLE DOWN has been constructed with a steel hull and is powered by 2 x 2448hp 3516B Caterpillar with a cruising speed of 12 knots and a top speed of 17 knots.

Charter guest accommodation

DOUBLE DOWN has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 12 charter guests in 9 suites.

The guest cabins comprise a primary suite with a king size bed and en-suite bathroom facilities, 4 cabins with a king size bed and en-suite bathroom facilities, a VIP suite with a king size bed and en-suite bathroom facilities and 3 cabins with 2 single beds and 2 pullman beds .

Your luxury charter crew

Your luxury charter on board motor yacht DOUBLE DOWN will be managed by the crew of 19 including the captain.

The crew will ensure you have a relaxed and enjoyable charter experience with all of your needs catered for while on board.

The 19 crew have their own separate crew quarters allowing guests to enjoy increased levels of privacy.

Amenities on board for the charter guests include BBQ, Beach club, Elevator, Exercise equipment, Light fishing gear, Gym and Jacuzzi on deck.

Scott Barsin

American Scott grew up in Ohio where he spent every summer on the water sailing and boating. On family holiday’s they sailed extensively in the Caribbean, Florida and the Northeast. Loving the sea, Scott attended the New York Maritime College to pursue his dream. With over 20 years’ experience since college, Scott has worked on tug boats, cargo ships, passenger vessels and yachts. For the last ten years Scott has Captained several large private and charter yachts cruising from the Pacific Northwest to the Persian Gulf and all points in between.
Yachting has been the highlight of his career for the fascinating people and amazing places he has been exposed to, plus the many friendships made which span the globe. When not working, he enjoys travel, cycling and yes - spending time on the water!

Jamie Small

Jamie comes from the south Coast of England, growing up in Portsmouth. From a young age he raced sailing dinghies, competing at a high national standard and racing for team GB. Having grown up on the water all his life a career working at sea seemed and obvious choice, so at the age of 19 he moved out to Fort Lauderdale to pursue a career in yachting.
At 27, Jamie gained his Master 3000GT license and is on his way to fulfilling his ambition of becoming a Captain.
In his spare time Jamie enjoys keeping fit, playing football, golf and participating in all watersports.

Johnny Camperchioli

Johnny grew up in Connecticut and spent much of his childhood on Long Island Sound. He began sailing at a young age and quickly graduated to small power boats. He attended SUNY Maritime College after deciding to make the maritime industry his career, graduating in 2012. He began sailing on commercial vessels that same year, and has been yachting since 2015.
Johnny’s favorite past time is exploring a new place, wearing pastel shorts, and trying to ask directions without knowing the language.

Justin Pierce

Justin is originally from Michigan, USA. While growing up on the Great Lakes, he has had a passion for being on the water from an early age. He obtained his Bachelors degree in business before pursuing a career in the yachting industry. In his free time he enjoys staying active, travelling and spending time with family.
Justin has worked on M/Y Big Zip, M/Y Lady Sara and now brings some American charm to M/Y Double Down, and he looks forward to creating some unforgettable memories with you on your holiday.

Edmar Anciano

Edmar is from the island of Bantayan in the Philippines. He is the eldest and only son in his family and has two beautiful sisters called Magno and Edna. During college, Edmar studied (BSIT) Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, majoring in Programming, but he felt that this was not his true calling in life. After college he traveled the world and did many odd jobs which eventually lead him to what he loves doing most, yachting. Edmar has worked on yachts for 5 years and loves traveling to new places and meeting new people. Edmar is a very proud father to his son EJ and misses him dearly when he is out at sea!

Meyrick Gallimore

Meyrick was born and bred in Pretoria, South Africa. Meyrick’s love for Fauna and Flora encouraged him to complete an anti-poaching course and then worked on various game reserves protecting rhinos.
Some of Meyrick’s interests include sports, hiking and art. He is a keen activist for animal rights and a proud Vegan.

Marc Carestio

Born in Hollywood, Florida, where he grew up around water sports and boating. He studied diesel mechanics for 2 years and worked as a mechanic in a shipyard for 5 years which led him to becoming a marine engineer. Since 2004 he has worked on yachts, oil supply vessels, drill ships and fishing vessels in the Bering Sea.

Davide Astarita

Davide grew up in Sorento on the Amalfi coast and is very proud of his Italian roots. After working in the cruise ship industry achieving the rank of First Engineer Unlimited, he moved his expertise to the yachting industry where Double Down would be his 5th large yacht. He is a talented motorcycle racer, often entertains the crew with his music playlists and looks really good in his leathers.

Fraser Walker

Frazer grew up in England where he studied electronic engineering at The University of York before deciding to begin a career in Yachting as an Engineer. Prior to moving abroad Frazer had not spent much time at sea but had a little experience with boating on his Fathers narrow boat travelling on rivers and canals. During university Frazer also took part in army training with the Territorial Army at weekends and enjoys keeping fit in general.

Grant Logan

Grant is from Port Elizabeth on the Eastern Cape of South Africa. He graduated from the South African Chefs Academy in 2007 and then worked 2 years in upmarket restaurants and 3 years in a private residence in Cape Town. As any ‘yachtie’ would say, the love of the ocean and adventure brigs them to the industry and Grant has been living his passion of cooking on the water since 2013.
Grant has an eagerness to bring the freshest produce to the plate, sourced from local markets ensuring meals for guests are extremely palatable.
Grant loves to surf, snorkel and fish is his spare time and his comedic personality is a breath of fresh air to those he meets. Stop by the galley anytime on Double Down and say hello and he will probably talk about the most recent ‘big’ fish he has caught.

Justin Marcus

Justin is a qualified Senior Sous Chef, from Cape Town, South Africa. He grew up in a surfing village, where he began working front of house as a waiter. Here he developed an interest for cooking and decided to begin his culinary journey. He took the first step and obtained his culinary diploma through City and Guilds. Following this he moved to the United Kingdom where he worked alongside highly recognized chefs in the industry, at Babington House. His passion grew through this time, however he wanted to expand his horizons and experience new cultures and cuisines. This led him to work on cruise liners and eventually running the galley’s on oil rigs. He has since merged in to the world of luxury yachting, working on yachts such as 65 meter M.Y Tanusha, 55 meter M.Y Kisses and most recently 56 meter M.Y. Seanna.
Justin loves being outdoors whether its hiking, swimming or surfing and always has a smile on his face.

Rachel Fullgrabe

Rachel grew up on a farm in Canberra, Australia, where she spent most of her childhood years participating in equestrian shows and helping out in her parents restaurant.
Pre-yachting Rachel was to be found selling prestigious homes in Sydney, as a licensed Real estate agent, and It wasn’t long until Rachel decided to broaden her horizons and set off to travel around Europe as a sole traveler.
Rachel has been working aboard yachts for over 6 years, with 3 of those being based in Mexico, and then completing many back to back busy charter seasons in both the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.
With a love of theme nights, table settings and making people laugh, Rachel is excited to help make your stay on M/Y Double Down the best yet.

Kate Hawkins

Kate was born in a small coastal town called Plettenberg Bay in South Africa. After school, she decided to move to London and pursue studying travel and tourism. Kate was looking for a career that involved chasing the sun, which led her to yachting. She joined her first boat in Europe in 2015 and hasn't looked back since.
Kate has a keen eye for detail due to an interior design background and goes above and beyond in all that she does. Her free time involves the oceans and its beaches, enjoying the quietness, splendor and adventure that it brings. She wishes you the same wonderful experience on Double Down.

Eva Church

Eva is from South Africa, and like many people in the yachting industry, couldn’t quite decide what path she wanted to take after university. Studying English, Media and Art History, she has an extremely diverse and vast range of interests and knowledge of the world, and found this to be a perfect starting point to branch into the wide world of travel and work.
She commenced yachting in May, working on a beautiful sail yacht in the Mediterranean.
Eva enjoys working with a large multinational crew, relying on her great sense of humor and ability to always smile to get through the demands of the yachting work lifestyle.

Chiara Hicks

Chiara was born in Johannesburg and raised in South Africa and Portugal. After leaving school she studied Civil Engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand and worked in the industry while completing her honors.
However, her love for the ocean and the craving for a new and exciting challenge prompted her to leave it all behind and start a career in yachting in 2017. Since then she has worked on 60m M/Y Constance, 73m M/Y Titania and 55m M/Y Step One before joining Double Down, which she has called home since December 2018
During her spare time Chiara can be found googling remote travel destinations, tasting cuisine in new countries she visits, scuba diving and wine tasting.

Genevieve Mullins

Gen is the newest member of our interior team, hails from the sunny town of Brisbane, Australia and has a twin sister. She has always had the travel bug, having also lived in both London and America, and has travelled to over 20 different countries (with Iceland being her favorite).
She started her yachting career last year on a 31M motor yacht where she cruised around to over 19 different islands and also took part in filing for the TV series ‘My Greek Oddessey’ (you might catch her on Season 2).
Gen absolutely loved her first season on yachts so decided to progress to a boat double the size and is now ready to go over and above to ensure you have the best time on M/Y Double Down.

Daniel Aleksov

Daniel was born in a small town called Stip, in the Republic of Macedonia. He started his career as an assistant cabin steward, and after two years accepted a new challenge of Laundry Master on a river cruise ship in Europe.
After gaining lots of experience and knowledge, Daniel felt he was ready to take his career to the next level, and joined the super yacht industry on M/Y Double Down.
Daniel likes to keep active by running, playing soccer and all types of water sports.
Travelling has always been a big part of his life, so to be able to combine his love for adventure and his passion for work, means that Daniel is extremely excited, and looks forward to helping you enjoy your stay on M/Y Double Down.

Alex Jepson

Alex hails from the Midwest and trained classically in French and Italian cuisine. He has a large appreciation for sustainable food, and always strives to deliver the freshest produce, by always utilizing local ingredients.
He studied internationally through various apprenticeships, and has now been cooking up a storm on yachts for over 5 years now.

Lindsay Stevens

Linsday comes from Whistler, Canada, and spent most of her life on the slopes. Having always had the travel bug, she has lived in Australia, London, France, Spain and Montreal just to name a few. Trading in her skies for a more warmer climate, Lindsay joined yachting over 5 years ago, and hasn’t looked back since. With her outgoing personality and caring nature, Lindsay is a great member of the team and looks forward to creating some amazing memories with all guests on board M/Y Double Down.
